Appearance:
Demia has fair blonde hair with hazel eyes. She sees herself as "maidenly heighted", about 5’2”. In other words, short. Her appearance is a major affair and she takes special care in her clothing. On a normal day she wears a specially fit white tunic, embroidered pleasantly along the hems, and a wide, pink belt wrapped around her waist to draw the curves so she looks less like a box. Underneath this she has a pink skirt, which would be over large by itself, and four white petticoats underneath.
Often Demia has an apron over the affair when she works. Her slippers are soft pink with gold leaf, though the soles are hardy and durable. Most often she pins her semi-curly hair up at her head, that she pins up like a bun but holds together and cascades down the sides while it’s got many strands of hair in french braids that curl around and into her bun.
Personality:
Demia is a very prime lady, almost more suited for Hold Lady life than cotholder. Her manners of dress, speech, and courtesy are impeccable and her cooking is nearly as good. She has no will to wander and has gained the attitude that the man is the head of the household. Irritating as it may be to others, she upholds it with perseverance.
Demia is very superstitious, and takes it great seriously, looking for omens in everything and constantly making charms to avoid ill luck. She loves the smell of different perfumes. She also acts and lives with an age beyond her physical one. She sees Kuni as a lost cause and does her best to pretend that she is not a relative.. or at least have her visit as little as she possibly can.
History:
Demia grew up in Oasis though she found it uncivilized and dirty. She had always been a proper lady and viewed her home with a touch of loyalty. When her sisters up and left with the caravan, she stayed at home to help around the cothold with the animals. Animals were her moment of indecision, never quite likely their mess but she knew more than most in Oasis about their care. When Kuni brought back Merus, it took her awhile to accept him as something other than one of her sister’s strays. Soon after they were married and had children.
