Appearance:
She is 5'2" and a rather plump 160 lbs. Her brown eyes are deep set; her prominent nose. Wrinkles are slowly touching the corners of her eyes and lips.
She keeps her black locks tied into a tight knot at the base of her skull. There is rarely a stray hair out of place, and when it is, she quickly replaces it. Her voice is low. When she bellows orders, it often comes out sounding rather masculine.
Personality:
Yevana is cool and always collected. She rarely shows emotion and works with swift efficiency. She always seems somber, especially in the last few Turns since A'vis was killed.
Despite her demeanor she is a caring person. Ten turns without her love have chilled her further and left her more distant from others, this being one of the reasons she fostered out her two youngest children and sent them to her sister on Huryen.
History:
Her mother was Headwoman before she, and stepped down when Yevana was twenty. Her joints ached too much with the weather and her sight was failing. Her mother did not approve of Yeva's love of the young blue rider A'vis, and felt that when Yeva lost their first child it was a sign. She did not live to see Yarvis born.
The father of all three children was A'vis, a watchrider from White Sands. It had initially been a frivolous affair, even when their first child was conceived. However, when that child was lost Yeva turned to the blue rider for comfort and their relationship deepened. He came to visit whenever he could, his duties keeping him away. Many people look down on her for the "tryst". However, eventually the realization came the two were not going to separate, and despite the fact most thought the Headwoman should marry someone from the Hold, she persisted in her love for A'vis.
She was crushed when he died. It shook her deeply and she lost interest in most things for a while, clinging to her position and responsibilities as Headwoman for a life support. Eventually (two Turns after he died) she could not deal with being a mother and the Headwoman, so she sent her children away; however Yarvis refused to go, and so he stayed with her.
Though she tried to be his mother, she couldn't, so she sent him to be an apprentice Beastcrafter. She chose this Craft because they had the least interaction with those who worked inside the Hold.
Family Information: Mother of Y'vis, Aleena and Minko. Sister of Janika. Aunt of Nattaska.
