Sora's Pod

This pod is the smallest and most newly formed pod. Although there used to be seven core members, there are now only five because two of them were killed during the Storm. This pod is usually found closest to Essal.


Name: Sora
Age: Eight Turns
Appearance: She is the youngest of the lead cows. Her muzzle is scarred where she encountered a spider claw when she was younger. The rest of her hide is a silvery-gray coloration with speckles of white.
Personality: Sora is a playful and happy dolphin with a joy for life and a love of packtails for food. She also takes pride in her ability to successfully catch the poisonous water tunnelers.
History: Sora was born near Faran Island and quite soon met the then apprentice dolphineer - Neolan. She was his first dolphin friend and has continued to be so. Such a devoted friend, when he was Searched, Sora moved and came to the pod that is usually closer to Essal.
Family Ties: Daughter of Immi and Yorn. Younger sister of Peku and Tek. Mother of Jashke (from Keepi).

Name: Apai
Age: Forty-seven Turn
Appearance: Her grayish hide was still solid and smooth, white spots accenting the aged form of the elder cow of the pod. She is not genetically related to anyone else in the archipelago except her son.
Personality: Apai is very talkative. She usually says her name when she responds to the voices of humans and dolphins alike ("Apai heer! Apai come!") and refers to herself in the third person.
History: Originally from the colder waters of the Western Continent, Apai made her way down to the Erdan Chain just under four Turns ago to give birth to her son. She has remained here since though why is unclear.
Family Ties: Mother of Bekor (by Tek).

Name: Bekor
Age: Four Turns
Appearance: He has a great deal of black on his hide and a few white spots.
Personality: He loves jumping out of the water and doing flips. One of the folk at Argoth is training him to 'wave' by swimming on his side and flapping one of his flippers. He has taken to tricks easily and enjoys learning them.
History: Bekor is a native to the Islands.
Family Ties: Son of Apai and Tek. Nephew of Sora and Peku. Grandson of Immi and Yorn.

Name: Jashke
Age: Just under two turns
Appearance: She is the youngest of the shipfish around the archipelago, born in early Turn 19. Jashke is a healthy young dolphin, average sized for her age and gender. She is a light gray color and due to her youth, it is unmarked by any scars. She does have some dots of a dark gray on her melon.
Personality: Jashke loves to play and splash. Her words are not very good right now but she has mastered the phrase, 'hi' and enjoys repeating it. Over... and over... and over again...
History: Jashke is a native to the Islands. She was born to Sora, the leader of one of the pods. Although she is almost two turns, she is still learning the ways of the islands and how to navigate the currents during all the seasons
Family Ties: She is the calf of Sora and Keepi. Grandson of Immi and Yorn.

Name: Keepi
Age: Ten Turns
Appearance: A dark shipfish with lighter markings along his dorsal fins.
Personality: He is a devoted father to Jashke and is teaching her how to speak the human-talk. He is an excellent hunter and one of the best divers of the pod. Though usually a gentle shipfish, he occasionally spars with Bekor to ensure the younger male understands that he is the 'alpha' bull of the pod.
History: He is unusual for a bull in that he choses to remain with the pod throughout the seasons.
Family Ties: Father of Jashke (by Sora).
