Please note that the Lord Holder is considered a "Major Character" and therefore adopting him includes following the rules of playing a M.C. in that you must post at least once a week. Not necessary as him, but we want to make sure that those in major positions are actually active on the site.

Deep Horizon Dawn. Stallion. 5 Turns. Deep Horizon is a dark russet runner whose hair shines deeper red in the sunlight. Deep Horizon stands 15 hands. He is the younger brother of Ember Chasing Dawn, and one of the last from their mother's bloodline before she became too old to breed.
Ember Chasing Dawn. (Retired) Gelded Male. 15 Turns. Ember is an imposing runner who stands about 16 hands in height. He is a fiery, red bay from the finest of Kajano Red stock.
Appearance:
At a towering 6’7”, he dwarfs almost everyone else in the Hold. Appearing to be heavy-set with a broad chest and over-wide stomach, he is actual very muscular and strong from Turns of working hands-on with the runners he loves. He has a full beard and mustache, and shaggy brown hair he keep in a tight runner's tail so that not a single strand gets out of place.
Personality:
The Lord Holder is not fond of dragonriders coming and messing up the grounds of his Hold; however, is not as disgusted by them as some of his allies. He understands their necessity completely.
The Lord Holder does not like being reliant on the dragonriders, and remembers when they were too scarce to be useful during Threadfall. He keeps a strong groundcrew and makes sure that they're constantly trained, and equipped with the best equipment. He goes to lengths make sure all the able-bodied people of the Hold know how to use a flame-thrower and upkeeps his own very well. In addition, he is meticulous about the cleaning of the Hold to keep the plants off the stonework.
Despite his apprehensions and distrust for them, when Threadfall comes, he does his best to ensure that the people of his Hold are helpful and willing to cooperate fully with the Weyrfolk or dragonriders on the ground.
However, since the death of Vaeclya, he has developed caustic personality at times, and can be difficult to get along with. He has been slowly drifting away from his family, sinking all his efforts and energy into his work. Zawia's newest arrival has not brought the joy to his heart that those born of Vaeclya once did.
History:
As the seventh son of the Lord Holder of Kajano, he was never expected to ascend to Lord Holder. He grew up planning to set up his own small hold raising Igen Desertbreds (think Arabians) on the edge of Great Cliffs' territory. However, his eldest brother did not live past the age of eleven, and his second eldest was taken to the Weyr to be a Candidate. Although his brother Impressed, he was killed in a Threadfall accident. His other brothers turned out too inept or fled to the grub protected Southern Continent when it was announced that Thread would fall again. so he rapidly ascended to his father’s favorite and other Lord Holders favorites as well. He was in love with a holder girl named Zawia, but when he became Lord Holder he was betrothed to the last of the Hajin Hold bloodline, Vaeclya. He never really loved her as he did Zawia; in fact he detested her. It was no fault of her own, he just always compared her to his Zawia.
He never really believed thread was to come back, and that the Weyr was nothing more then parasites. He has always given tithes, but they would always come in late, or a few bushels of fruit spoiled any way he could make it known his exact opinion of the Weyrs begging for food. With Vaeclya he had 9 children, and like many Holder women she overbred, and after Lesu's birth, she was still weak and died of infection. This time he married Zawia, though their marriage didn't last, she died shortly after giving birth to Zawfey. He married a third time, this time to Jeysu, a girl less than half his age. She gave birth to yet another child, making his brood a daunting eleven.
When Jeysu disappeared at the Midsummer Gather during the 15th Turn, he was furious and demanded that the Guardians look for her immediately. When Miranda disappeared, he blamed the Guardians again. Then, he discovered that Cl'fey had Impressed somewhere in the South, and he blamed everyone. As soon as Jeysu turned up in the Candidates and Impressed, the Lord Holder has started setting his sites on a fourth bride.
